Words Make A Global Impact
As a kid my dream was to inspire others with my basketball skills. As I got older, I’ve realized my ability to inspire people not only with my actions, but my with my words as well. As quiet as I was as a kid, I never thought I’d become a motivational speaker, but it came a point in my career that I felt like if I started sharing some of my inspirational quotes, maybe they could help someone else reach their goal.
Realizing the power of my international brand and global reach, I not only began to inspire in person, but also via twitter, Facebook, or my website, posting daily quotes.
One of my most popular sayings, (“Good players workout. Great players Outwork”) began trending quickly. I never knew a simple motto would go so far. I realized the power of this my last trip to Indonesia. One of the most popular basketball players in Indonesia, Richard Leo greeted me in the hotel lobby to show his support for the message that I have been able to spread online. As we shook hands, I glanced at his tshirt and saw that it had my quote on it, “Good players workout. Great players outwork.” That’s when I realized the power of my quotes and how I could truly help change the world with my positive words.
